Women-Led Livelihoods & Community Enterprise

In Abu Ghosoun, Behar supports a beekeeping initiative managed by young women from the Ababda community.

The initiative focuses on producing local honey using the natural resources of the surrounding environment, including acacia and mangrove trees. It combines women's economic empowerment with local ecological knowledge and sustainable use of natural resources.

The initiative creates opportunities for young Ababda women to develop practical skills, generate income, and participate in a community-based livelihood rooted in the natural and cultural landscape of the Red Sea.

We support women to develop skills, create income-generating opportunities, and build community enterprises rooted in local food, culture, and knowledge.
